Music Lafayette Might Have Heard in Trenton

Wm Trent HouseIn December 1784, for several days, the Marquis de Lafayette visited Trenton at that time the new nation’s capital, where he was received by Congress and the New Jersey Legislature.

On Sunday, December 29, 2024, the Trent House will present a pre-recorded program on the theme “Music Lafayette Might Have Heard in Trenton, December 1784.”.

This original recording with historical commentary was performed by the Practitioners of Musick John Burkhalter playing English and Small flutes and harpsichordist Donovan Klotzbeacher along with soprano, Rebecca Mariman as guest artist.

Mr. Burkhalter will provide live introductory remarks and answer questions.

This free program begins at 2:30 pm in the Trent House Visitor Center.
